Hello beautiful people!
I wanted to let you all know that I am now home! I made it home safely and in time to spend the Holidays with my family in Texas. I have many updates for y'all - recaps of our last three countries, including some videos, and stories from the Race.
I can not thank each of you enough for the prayers, encouragement, financial support, and sacrifices made to make this past year of overseas missions possible. I can tell you that after this year spent in the communities of Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, Romania, Albania, South Africa, and Lesotho, I am more passionate about the simple Gospel, the global church, and God's word. I'm excited to run with these deeper passions heading back into America. I am also excited about fewer to no bugs in my bed, healthy and varied foods, my own room, Tex-Mex, and wifi that works - better yet, not needing wifi at all to send full updates. Hallelujah, God is good.
I am finishing up videos for each of the last countries and ministries we were a part of, so in the coming weeks you will get updates of the final day-in-the-life episodes from me on the World Race :) I've received feedback that the videos are helpful for seeing and understanding each ministry placement and the impact we get to be a part of - by "we" that also means YOU! I'm so happy they're helpful!
Love y'all!
Your girl,
Sierra :)
P.S. I'm not a crier, yet I teared up when walking through U.S. customs and getting to go in the line labeled "U.S. Citizens". It felt like a blanket of comfort and protection, and hearing English spoken all around was a nice, distant yet familiar, feeling. I'm thankful to live here!
